Gilmore Girls is a witty family comedy/drama that tells the story of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. They are best friends. They're also mother and daughter. Lorelai Gilmore has made some mistakes but has gone out of her way to make sure her daughter has all the best opportunities even if it means involving her stuffy conservative parents, Emily and Richard Gilmore. This odd couple likes fast talking, pop culture references, and cute boys. Turning the mother/daughter relationship on its head these two best friends grow into accomplished intelligent women. Their love lives never seem to pan out but no matter what they always have each other. This poignant family drama drew audiences of all ages and was a cornerstone of the late WB's line-up.
