InstantCast Spotlight: Alexiy-Don Saint-Michael

Congratulations to Alexiy: Our $1000 Superstar Talent Search Winner!

Superstar Talent Search Winner Alexiy When I called Alexiy to congratulate him on winning InstantCast's Superstar Talent Search, he seemed calm and peaceful. He told me he wakes up at 6 o'clock every morning, turns on his computer, and begins his day with InstantCast. He says it's "such a nice way to start my day." While some people go running, do yoga, or skip right to breakfast, Alexiy wakes up with InstantCast!

When I asked him how it feels to be a Superstar Talent Search winner he simply said, sounding confident and content, "It feels great."

What did Alexiy do to become the winner? He said he spoke with past winners and looked at their photos and profiles to see what worked. He is in close touch with a lot of previous winners, including Melissa Y. Molnar. In August, Alexiy has planned a trip to Vegas to visit and support Melissa while she auditions for "Talent Search America."

He speaks frequently with some of his Superstar Talent Search competitors, like Luana Coussi, who came in second. Alexiy informed me that Luana is currently working on a three month project in the new Jeff Bridges film. Coincidentally, Alexiy worked with Jeff Bridges twenty years ago!

Alexiy is an avid supporter and promoter of InstantCast. If you're a new InstantCast member it's almost inevitable that Alexiy will take time to look at your profile and pictures and give you constructive feedback. He told me he gives members precise advice on what to wear, how to smile, and whether the "crinkle at the eye" enhances or undermines the value of their headshot.

InstantCast is proud of all the content we provide our members with from casting articles to our All-Stars pages. Alexiy told me that "InstantCast is a wealth of information." He often tells members to print out all of the "How To" articles, to read them, and to keep them on file. He says these are "worth at least what a six month workshop would provide an actor with and in a workshop you would be paying "$600-$1000 for this insider's advice."

When not acting, auditioning, lecturing, or giving advice to InstantCast members, Alexiy has been working on the seventh re-write of his novel that chronicles New Orleans pre-Hurricane Katrina. As for the future? Alexiy is recovering from a foot injury and is currently searching for a good commercial agent. He keeps himself busy by giving lectures to aspiring actors and going out on auditions.

Alexiy is one of our most enthusiastic members, and the team here at InstantCast is proud to have you aboard. Congrats and don't spend the $1000 all in one place!

This is exceptional news. This esteemed actor also took the time out to personally greet me and give me newfound inspiration. I am also pleased to hear about Luana whom I know will become incredibly successful.

Alexiy is one of IC's greatest members. This article was written before my IC-time. So nice to be able to come in and read it now. Great insight into a wonderful person; Alexiy is so kind and always helpful. ~ Janet

Q:

It's always been my dream to become an actor. The truth is I'm overweight. I worry that while I'm very talented, I might never be able to get cast in the parts that can launch my career. Do I need to lose weight to succeed in my dreams?

A:

The first thing you need to do is look in the mirror and decide whether or not you actually like what you see. It doesn't really matter what size you wear, but...
