The Dead Zone

The Dead Zone stars Anthony Michael Hall as small-town teacher Johnny Smith, who is injured in a car accident that puts him in a coma for six years. Meanwhile everyone in his life has gone on without him. When he comes out of the coma, he finds that he can see the future. Nicole Boer (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) plays Johnny's ex-fiancée Sarah and Connor Price (Good Luck Chuck) plays JJ, Johnny's biological son who has been raised by Sherriff Walt Bannerman, who Sarah married after Johnny's accident. The visions he sees of the past and future are attributed to activity in a previously unused "dead zone" of his brain, which went into overdrive after other parts of his brain were damaged in the crash. Although Johnny is able to help solve crimes using his abilities, he is troubled by his visions of a series of apocalyptic events following the election of congressional candidate Greg Stillson. This eerie Sci-Fi mystery series is based on the 1983 cult classic film The Dead Zone starring Christopher Walken, directed by David Cronenberg and based on the book of the same name by popular horror writer Stephen King.

It's always been my dream to become an actor. The truth is I'm overweight. I worry that while I'm very talented, I might never be able to get cast in the parts that can launch my career. Do I need to lose weight to succeed in my dreams?

A:
