Not to be outdone by ABC's week-long Duel trivia event, NBC is rolling out Clash of the Choirs, an intense week-long Reality TV event. The concept of the show is simple: five of the world's most successful pop singers must return to their home towns to put together an amateur choir. The stars are Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nich Lachey, Kelly Rowland, and Blake Shelton. After assembling and rehearsing their choirs in a very short amount of time, the pop stars take their teams to the television studio, where they compete live. The songs the choirs sing can range from pop hits to holiday classics. The studio audience at home decides who will win the Clash of the Choirs as they vote a choir off every night for four nights.
Clash of the Choirs starts off with a live 2-hour premiere on Monday Dec. 17th at 8 P.M., with subsequent episodes on 18th, 19th, and a finale on Thursday Dec. 20th.
