Bionic Woman is NBC's new remake of the popular 1970's sci-fi action series. This version stars Michelle Ryan (UK's EastEnders) as Jamie Sommers, the role that made Lindsay Wagner into a household name. Jamie is struggling to make ends meet by bartending while raising her teenage sister, and just when she thought life couldn't get any harder, she nearly dies in a car accident. However, a top-secret and cutting-edge procedure saves her life, and she is reborn as the Bionic Woman. With new abilities from bionic implants Jamie has super strength, enhanced senses, and the ability to rapidly heal, Jamie Sommers must figure out how to use her new abilities while accepting her new identity as a super hero. Bionic Woman also stars Miguel Ferrer (Crossing Jordan), Chris Bowers (Rescue Me), and Molly Price (Third Watch, Sex and the City) The show has drawn attention for picking up Grey's Anatomy star Isaiah Washington after he was fired for his high profile controversial ratings. Bionic Woman is set to complement NBC's superhero drama Heroes and cement NBC's stronghold on sci-fi action.
