Scrubs is a long-running medical dramedy on NBC that made Zach Braff a household name. The show follows the journey of J.D. (Braff, Garden State) from a green medical resident to a real doctor over the course of many years. He is joined by his best friend Chris Turk (Donald Faison, Remember the Titans, Felicity), who marries tough nurse Carla (Judy Reyes, Oz) and juggles the stress of having a family with the stress of being a surgical resident. J.D. is constantly struggling romantically with the beautiful but awkward resident Elliot (Sarah Chalke, Roseanne) while dealing with the surreal atmosphere of Sacred Heart Hospital. He grows up a little everyday, and gets yelled at by head of medicine Dr. Bob Kelso (Ken Jenkins, Courage Under Fire), insulted by superior Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley, Wall Street, Platoon) and sabotaged by the head janitor (Neil Flynn, Magnolia).
