Fox's Emmy and Golden Globe Winning hit television show House explores the gripping drama and suspense of curing infectious diseases. Dr. Gregory House is a medical savant but for all his brilliant skills as a diagnostician of obscure infections he lacks social grace, a bedside manner, and even the most remote social skills. He has a team of young experts that he works with to diagnose the strange cases that enter Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. Each episode plays out like a mini-mystery as House must battle the patients' families, the hospital staff including Dr. Lisa Cuddy, the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrators, and sometimes even the patients themselves. He is almost always right but his diagnoses play off like Russian roulette as the doctors must try dangerous treatments or race against the clock. House is a gripping medical drama that has created its own niche in television and has become a major part of Fox's Tuesday night line-up.
