Heroes is NBC's new show about a group of people who suddenly discover they have superhuman abilities. Part X-Men and part Lost, Heroes slowly introduces us to the main characters including Claire Bennett, a cheerleader with superhuman healing, Nathan and Peter Petrelli, two brothers who can fly, and Hiro Nakamura, an animated Japanese office worker who can bend space and time. The only person who may know their fate is Mohinder Suresh, the son of a murdered geneticist, who is trying to piece together his father's theories. As we learn more about them, we learn more about their mysterious shared destiny and how they must save the world from a cataclysmic event. Heroes puts a realistic spin on the idea of superhuman abilities as normal people must deal with the personal demons and problems that ensue when they discover they aren't like everyone else.
