Plot

Taking place in 1983, the show chronicles the life of Lily van der Woodsen (using her maiden name of Rhodes in the series) when she was 17 years old. The series will involve characters like her father, Rick Rhodes, her mother, CeCe Rhodes, her sister, Carol Rhodes and the father of her future daughter and son, Keith van der Woodsen. Other characters include Owen (an apparent love interest for Lily) and Shep, who likes Carol.

It was also suggested that characters from Schwartz' other show The O.C. would appear, most likely Kirsten Cohen and Jimmy Cooper as teenagers.
