Sister, Sister is an
American television sitcom about
identical twin girls (
Tia and
Tamera Mowry), separated and
adopted at birth, who one day come face-to-face after 14 years apart. The series premiered during the
1993-94 season on
ABC, was briefly canceled after the
1994-95 season; but
The WB renewed the show for the
1995-96 season, continuing until May 23, 1999.

Premise
In the
pilot, the twins are reunited during a chance encounter shopping at the mall with their adoptive parents. The premise is similar to the movie
The Parent Trap, where a pair of separated-at-birth twins has a chance encounter at summer camp.
