Peter S. Jacobson (born March 24, 1965) is an
American film and television
actor.
Life and career
Jacobson was born in
Chicago, Illinois, the son of Chicago news anchor
Walter Jacobson. He is a 1987 graduate of
Brown University and a 1991 graduate of
Juilliard.
In 1997, he and
Lisa Edelstein, a future co-star of his on the television series
House, appeared as a couple eating at a restaurant in the movie
As Good As It Gets.
Jacobson has played a recurring role on
Law & Order as Randy Dworkin, a jovial crusading defense attorney attached to conservative causes. In 2005, Jacobson played "Jimmy" in the
Academy Award-nominated film,
Good Night, and Good Luck.

The Starter Wife,

The Midnight Meat Train. More recently he has appeared on
House as
Chris Taub, a
plastic surgeon hoping to make
