Life and career

Making her AV debut in 2002, after her 30th birthday, Tomoda's prolific work (including 464 DVD appearances currently listed at Amazon[1] search at amazon.co.jp November 11, 2009) reflects the growing market for "mature woman" or "madame" (熟女 = jukujo) actresses which appeared in the AV marketplace in the mid-1990s.

One of her early videos, Mature Big Breasted Women from Alice Japan in June 2003, paired her with another prominent "mature" star, Aki Tomosaki, in light S&M and cosplay. In December 2003, along with Tomosaki and Mayumi Kusunoki, Tomoda appeared in Man-Eating Mature Women - Semen Squeezing, the premier DVD issued by Madonna, an AV studio specializing in "mature women" videos. She continued to make about one movie a month for Madonna up to the beginning of 2005.
