Joseph Mencia (born Joaquín Cano in 1953 in Honduras) is the brother of comedian Carlos Mencia. He regularly appeared on his brother's show, Mind of Mencia, and is known for his Honduran persona as well as his thick accent.More than one skit on Mind of Mencia has been centered on his thick accent.

Joseph was born in Honduras. He came to the United States at the age of eighteen and obtained his GED at Garfield High Adult School in East Los Angeles, and then began working as a full time laborer.
