Jonathan Rhys Meyers, real name Jonathan "Johnny" O'Keeffe, (born 27 July 1977) is an

model, best known internationally for his role in the 1998 film
Velvet Goldmine. In the US, he is probably best known for his television roles as
Elvis Presley in the biographical miniseries
Elvis and as
King Henry VIII in historical drama

Rhys Meyers was born Jonathan Michael Francis O'Keeffe in
Dublin,
Ireland, the son of Geraldine Meyers and musician John O'Keeffe.
