Jonathan Kerrigan (born 14 October 1972 in
Lincolnshire) is an
English actor well known for his portrayal of gay nurse Sam Colloby in the BBC medical dramas
Casualty and
Holby City, and as police officers in the series
Merseybeat and
Heartbeat.
As well as starring in
Merseybeat, Kerrigan also composed the theme tune.

In April 2007, Jonathan announced his decision to quit his role as PC Rob Walker, (whom he had played since 2004) in long-running Yorkshire drama
Heartbeat. Scottish actor
Joseph McFadden replaced him as village constable Joe Mason in the following series of the show.
Jonathan currently lives in
Kentish Town, North
London,
UK, with his partner
Shelley Conn, whom he met on the set of
