Comedy Central Germany is a German speaking equivalent to Comedy Central. The channel is available free-to-air and on local digital/cable operators in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It broadcasts many American and British imports as well as original programming. It launched on January 15, 2007 replacing former music channel VIVA Plus. Prior to its launch Viacom Germany did have a comedy channel called NICK Comedy which was broadcast from 21:15 to 06:00 on Nickelodeon Germany.

Since January 15, 2009 Comedy Central Germany has ceased broadcasting 24 hours a day and is now timesharing with NICK Deutschland, the German version of Nickelodeon, broadcasting between 20:15 (CET) to 06:00 (CET).
