Ricki Pamela Lake (born
September 21,
1968) is an
American actress and
tabloid talk show host, perhaps best known for her long-running
Ricki Lake talk show, her recurring role in the 1998 sitcom
The King of Queens, and starring in the original version of the film
Hairspray.
Biography
Lake was born to a family in
Hastings-on-Hudson, New York, the daughter of Jill, a housewife, and Barry Lake, a
pharmacist.
