Alexis Bledel (born September 16, 1981) is an American actress and fashion model. She is best known for her role as Rory Gilmore in the television series Gilmore Girls.

Early life

Kimberly Alexis Bledel was born in Houston, Texas. Her mother, Nanette, is Mexican, and her father, Martin Bledel, is Argentinian; her father's family were Danish immigrants to Argentina. She has one younger brother, Eric David, born 1986, as well as an adopted younger sister, Katherine, born in 1989.
